Naosaburō Yamada edited a woodblock-printed picture book entitled Seikajō (i.e., Refined Flowers Album). Published in 1892, it included the ten pictures of flowers and (or) birds shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. The ten artists each used a true-to-life drawing style popular in Japan at the time.
